We have over thirty years of client-focused, strategic research experience across academic, governmental, and private sectors.
Clients receive our full attention. We devote time to learning as much as we can about each client prior to beginning their project.
This extensive research and partnership approach, paired with our expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative methodologies, leads to an appropriate research plan effective in achieving client goals and objectives. Our clients with limited resources especially appreciate our ability to prioritize the “must-have” versus the “nice-to-have” research objectives, and we love meeting client needs to their full satisfaction.
Dr. Martin (Marty) Hill has over thirty years of client-focused, strategic research experience across academic, governmental, and private sectors. A Ph.D. in sociology with a concentration in medical sociology and applied research and evaluation strengthens Marty’s talent for uncovering valuable insights.
His experience includes a wide range of research services, including survey research, program evaluation, needs assessment, and consultation, integrating both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Treating clients as research partners, rather than customers simply placing an order, is an approach that clients appreciate and is a major reason why many continue to work with VIP Research and Evaluation time and time again. Collaborating throughout projects, from formulation of research questions to utilizing research findings in optimal ways, results in truly meaningful research with both parties gaining insight along the way.
Discover clearer insights, smarter decisions, and measurable results with our expert research and evaluation services. Whether you need program assessments, analytics, or tailored research methods, we help organizations drive meaningful outcomes.
Upon completion of his doctoral training at WMU, Marty ventured into the private sector where he worked in market research and public opinion research on both the client side (McDougal Littell, now Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) and the supplier side (Opinion Research Corporation). Most recently, Marty was the Director of the Carl Frost Center for Social Science Research at Hope College where he spearheaded numerous research projects for both for- and non-profit organizations.
In addition to all of this important work, one of the endeavors Marty is most proud of is his work with the Marjorie Kovler Center, an organization that takes a holistic approach to treatment and provides comprehensive medical, mental health, and social services for victims of torture. Marty evaluates their treatment program and is instrumental in the improvement of services and programs offered to survivors.
Marty’s unique combination of education and research experience, coupled with his approach to research and working with clients has enabled him to foster many lengthy and successful client relationships. He is also frequently invited to speak and present as an expert on research topics and best practices.
Partnering with clients is not limited to strategy, planning, and execution. More importantly, our clients require actionable recommendations and next steps derived from our collaborative effort. We deliver it.
